Yeah I've been following this for a while now. Just today they revealed the release date. Should be good! I even like that Brad Pitt is involved.

Yeah, I don't have a problem with Pitt.

Hell fucking yes. I cannot wait for this movie to come out. I wonder what part Pitt will be playing. I hope its not Todd Wainio.

Yay! I love it when they make Zombie films with a big budget and A-list actors.

Apparently he's playing the part of Gerry Lane. That character does not ring a bell at all so I can only assume he's a new character or a re-write??? I wonder if he'll be playing the part of Max Brooks, because judging by his clothes he looks like a Journalist operating in the middle east.

Just came across this, and it sounds like they're completely re-writing the whole world war z story: www.sheknows.com/entertainment/articles/838811/brad-pitts-world-war-z-already-a-failure----------------- "The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself," the Paramount release previews. In other words, the film adaptation throws Brooks' unique approach aside and plunges right back into typical zombie territory. The action picks up at the brink of the Zombie Wars, making Lane a hero, rather than a historian. Instead of interviewing survivors, Pitt's character will be trying to save the world." ----------------- huh?

I think its a smart choice, interviewing survivors is good for a book, but for a film like that you need action.

No doubt its a more economic choice. It'd be impossible to make a mocku-mentary on World War Z that firstly was under 2 hours and secondly was able to tell all the characters stories and flesh them out appropriately. I'll still see it regardless I'm just a little disappointed we won't get the battle of yonkers. We may get a substitute, but I'm not hopeful it'll be as grand or chaotic as the book.

Yeah for a book it is ok but for a film it might get a bit windy and people would lose interest.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have runners.
Interesting, I couldn't figure out who was a zombie. I'm guessing the guy jumping about got infected.

What I assumed happened was maybe he got shot. When he gets out of the car he just kind of falls back and we see glass splash out. Then a zombie comes and nibbles on his arm infecting him with a case of zombie-itis. I imagine the final scene will probably be filmed from a different angle. Yes interesting point about not being able to tell who is a zombie, which means they're either going for a more subtle zombie appearance... or they'll be adding a lot of CGI post VFX
