A great slice of 1980s fun from 1984. A comet kills most of the people on Earth. The same one that killed all of the dinosaurs. Two sisters survive, whom are both valley girls as well as a dude named Hector, a truck driver. Hector is played by Robert Beltran, who also played Kayo in Lone Wolf McQuade. Others survived too but are zombie-like people as well as some scientists that survived. The scientists want to use the blood of the non-zombie survivors so they can create a serum because they were exposed to the comet through their open ventilation shafts. So it's basically two valley girls & a Hispanic guy vs. zombies vs. scientists. This movie is the perfect blend of science fiction, horror, & comedy. Oh & it's PG-13, which actually doesn't hurt the film any. This movie also has a bitchin' 1980s soundtrack.

I remember this one, and it did have some scary moments. I did like the way it turned the whole Valley Girl thing on its head though.

Just be careful - if it has that skunky smell like Becks and Heineken do then its the bad Moosehead. I had some good Moosehead that a friend brought back in his motorhome (in ice) and it didnt have the skunky smell/taste that the store bought stuff has

I like this one very much. I especially like the whole shopping mall sequence. When the girls are dancing around, and the zombies are watching them on the security cameras...it always makes me think of a bunch of hyenas watching some gazzelles from behind the prarie grass.
