I read a while back that he was originally in the running to play as Foxy, but some union bullshit put the kibosh on that idea.
And, if he did land the Foxy part, he would've been in a position to kill his zombie-self- Foxy vs. Blades.
As much as I can't stand Land, I would've enjoyed that shit.

It was a nice little homage back to Dawn. I agree. was great to see him make a cameo in Land. somebody must have really embalmed him well as the years seem to have been good to him. Not as Messed up and decomposed as you'd imagine.

I have never heard that it wasn't a continuation.

I have never heard that it wasn't a continuation. In the commentary on land of the dead "directors cut" George says something about how he didnt plan for this to be related/a direct continuation of the others. i'm almost certain. i'll watch it later, i may be wrong.

I'm starting to think it was more than 3 years. In the beginning of Land, they start out with "Long Ago" and then go to "Today". Long ago had to be more than 3 years.

They definitely did a wonderful job making him look the same. When I first saw Land of the Dead in theaters and saw Tom Savini come out as the zombie of his Dawn character I flipped out! I could not believe it! It was a total fan boy (horror geek) moment.
