I forgot to mention that I love the Pennsylvania scenery in this one. I'm a sucker for any kind of Pennsylvania locations, especially rural. Yeah. It's got a great feel to it that always reminds me of Halloween of '88. I was in the Seminary, and a bunch of us volunteered to help the Eagle Scouts out with their Haunted Trail. We got some tents together, went out the the forest preserve, and made up an outdoor haunted house. I, of course, went as a zombie--a soldier zombie complete with a USGI steel helmet and cammies. We built a great bonfire. Hell, we HAD to--temps that night got down into the 20s. Didn't matter, though. It was one of the best Halloweens in my whole life, and we got to do it again for the next three years straight! This flick always takes me back to that. Thanks, Bill...where ever you are!

Known as Zombie Nosh in the UK. I remember it being pretty good.

Just watched this a little bit ago. I still love it very much. I'll always dig the setting of autumn in Pennsylvania. It's just beautiful.
I really think most of the budget went into the effects rather than the actors because the effects are really good in this albeit cheesy. The headshot squibs aren't too shabby. The guy who did the effects on this also worked on the NOTLD remake.

I also love that it has Vince Survinski in it basically reprising his role from Night of the Living Dead. And the fact that he shoots two people that clearly aren't dead. Tragic yet hilarious.

it's not the cemetary zombie, in an interview about Flesh Eater Bill said he wanted to be similar but not the same as the NOTLD zombie plus you may recognise the hunter that kills the two survivors at the end

ok so I have to admit, this film had passed me by until I read about it here, I have taken the plunge and decided to add it to my collection, hell it can't be as bad as children of the living dead, can it? Anyway as i only paid £1.72( around $3) including shipping i'm not to worried if it's a crock of shit.

Introduced a friend to this last night. She liked it but not as much as I do haha. I practically worship this movie because it's so bad that it's fucking amazing.
She didn't get why I was laughing at Vince Survinski killing the two survivors of the night then I explained that he did the same thing to Ben in Night of the Living Dead...even though I never found him shooting Ben that funny. The two teens were clearly alive and flailing their arms around and screaming. Haha.

Its the irony of it that cracks me up. A great flick that I need to watch again soon.

It definitely is the irony. Maybe Vince became almost blind as a bat in the 20 years between the films haha.
