This is probably the best zombie/zombedy to come out since Dead Alive(Braindead). It's got some great gore, great humour, great acting, & plenty of little easter eggs to look for while watching it. I remember seeing this the day it was released in the States. My friends & I had to venture about an hour or so from my crappy little town to Columbus, Ohio to see it. I think it was worth the trip. I'm glad that it only took a few months for a DVD release because I snatched this up the day it was out.

I'm the odd one out on this one. Shaun of the Dead had some funny moments but for the most part it bored me to tears. Same thing with Dead Alive. Both movies have rabid fans, and I'm usually left scratching my head since neither movie did much for me.

I absolutely LOVE this movie.
I also went out and saw it on day one (also purchased the DVD on day one as well). I find that people who really love Dawn of the Dead tend to really dig this movie... which is fitting. Simon Pegg plays the part of Shaun perfectly, same with Nick Frost. Can't think of a single bad thing to say about this movie actually!

Who doesnt love this movie, British guys whom constantly mess up, end up being heroes. But sadly the fat guy had to die, but he still likes videogames!

Ugh.
This movie was basically a 90 minute blow-job for Romero.
I hope, for his sake, that the old man came.
When I watched the extra features on Land, when those Shaun guys go to Canada to meet GAR...it's downright embarrassing how punked out they were.
If GAR had literally dropped his pants and asked them for a blow-job, they both would've got down on their knees right then and there! LOL! ;D

The only thing I liked was Shaun and Ed. The contrast between them was hilarious at times. The rest of it just didnt work.

Black, Did you like Hott Fuzz? Nope. I watched 15 minutes and turned the movie off.

You should probably finish a film before deciding if you hate it or not...
Anyway, I don't see anything wrong with a movie made by people who love Romero. Obviously a shit ton of other folks loved it as well, as it did quite well if memory serves.

Black, Did you like Hott Fuzz? The preacher near the end made me laugh. That comment he made made everyone in the theatre chuckle.

Shaun is badass, so is Hott Fuzz. The Brits have this way of making a film that confuses you. Do I laugh, am I scared, am I sad. Hott Fuzz was some good stuff, serious but goofy. It's a great juxtaposition.

I can watch Shaun of the Dead over & over again. I thought it was very entertaining & well-made overall. The gore was great. To me, everything about it was great. I'd rather see a good movie that's a 90 minute blowjob for George Romero than a shitty 90 minute blowjob for hacks like Uwe Boll or Rob Zombie.
Hot Fuzz is another one I own but haven't watched yet. I've heard some great things about it.

I saw the three disc set at Best Buy the other day. I probably would've bought it if it wasn't like $30 haha. I'll upgrade if I can find it somewhere cheap then trade in my regular copy.
I'll get to it one of these days. Perhaps sometime this week. ;D
