Awesome. I'm really looking forward to see how DeSoto will portray all the chaos on screen especially in 3d.
Stoked to hear Tony Todd is playing Ben :-)

This is going to be the incest baby prostitute of any of the "dead" films, I would seriously rather watch that DOTD remake than this!!! The sad thing is we all know everyone of us on this board is gonna watch it maybe when it comes out, maybe when were on our death beds, I'm just saying that we can't go without watching it because we are dead fans...................but then we'll go trash it on the internet.....MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

We'll have to wait and see, the actors in it are good and I like the fact it's a prequel and not another remake. I have high hopes for this film, I like to see CGI zombies. ( like in RE: Degeneration which turned out great ) It's not fair to trash the film before it even came out .

The animation style isn't a deal breaker for me, but looking at those pics reminds me of the cut scenes from video games of a few years ago where the movement of the characters was a little rubbery and the facial expressions looked stiff and induced an uncanny valley feeling. I just hope De Soto has been able to give his animated characters realistic human movements and facial expressions.
Actually something just occured to me. Why the hell is Johnny brother of Barbara in this? Isn't it a prequel? Are we going to be treated to scenes of Johnny and Barbara, getting dressed before their drive to the cemetery, stopping for lunch and gas, making small talk and asking questions why the radio isn't working? Their ordeal didn't really start till well after Ben's, Harry & Helen's and Tom & Judy's brush with the zeds.

Ok I am back where I was I don't think this movie will be good.NOTLD didn't start in the middle of something, it started at the beginning so I don't see where the prequel element can come in with those characters, another thing that sucks is that one of those pics shows Barbra and some punk chick, Barbra doesn't seem like she would hang out with somebody who even so much as looks like that, she was very 50s like and proper in the original (but then again i haven't seen it yet).I also think this movie might end with "Johnny saying there coming to get you Barbra" and show one last shot of zombies with the original music playing which I think if done right might be the only good scene in the film.

If the plot synopsis on wikipedia (which reads like it was translated to another language then translated back to English on Babel Fish) is anything to go by we'll have that standard NOTLD story with our survivors seeking refuge in the farmhouse then it'll have flashbacks to what each of the survivors went through to get where they are now. Which is less of a prequel and more of a remake If that is the case then I bet that woman next to barbara is either Judy Rose or Helen (most likely Judy I'd say) and it looks like the whole thing is going to be updated for modern times. I'll still see it regardless though

I will too, I'm just saying atleast do it live action Its probably a combination of budgetary constraints, and DeSoto having a hard on for CGI. I'm not sure what his budget was but I can't imagine him pulling off his vision of the chaos before the farm house in real time unless he had access to a Michael Bay worthy budget. I imagine very few would be willing to finance a movie like that to an unknown director unless its watered down enough for a broader audience so they can guarantee their return, and I'd imagine very few Directors would want to put pandering to financiers ahead of having their own creative control.

Those images look like a Playstation 2 zombie game or something. Regardless, I'm still going to check this out despite the "meh" looking CGI aspect. The voice actors alone make me want to watch this.
