That's a question I find myself asking.. well... myself a lot when I think about the possibility of another entry in the saga. I mean let's face it--DIARY and SURVIVAL don't hold a candle to the "Big 3", and while I personally feel SURVIVAL was a step in the right direction after DIARY, I just don't know if George has it in him to create a truly great zed film anymore. He's gotten a little lazy with the effects--too much CGI. The stories have become quite weak as well in comparison with the first 3 films.
Then again, I'm always up to be amazed and pumped. I hope George DOES have it in him, and if he does, I hope he unleashes it in his next movie.
What do you think?

Look it would be nice to have some closure on the whole DEAD series, but I share the sentiment that he doesn't quite have it in him anymore. Also where does he go from here? It just feels like any further additions to the series will just be another group of survivors trying to rough it out in a Zompocalypse. Not that that's a bad thing, but he usually doesn't tell a zombie story without it being driven by some social commentary and honestly his social commentary has felt a little ham-fisted ever since Land.
Actually scratch that I'm not sure I want any kind of an explanation or resolution to the series, for fear of the "Midichlorian" effect. Any kind of explanation he puts forth will just suck all the mysticism out of the series

I'm always up for a new zombie film from Romero. He's still the king of the genre, I love those inventive zombie kills in his films.

I think he's past his prime but as long as he makes more Dead films, I'll watch them.
I'd really like for him to surprise the shit out of me and give us another masterpiece but I don't see it happening.

I think I'd like to see one more. One more great epic to end it all. to be honest, I'd like to see Mr Romero make Day of the Dead with his original script. not remake, but do what he initially intended to do. zombies on a massive scale, practical effects, and lots and lots of gore. it may be ( probably is) wishful thinking, but I feel he's got one more great film in him. dschoenike

I would also love to see his original Day script come to life, but I just don't know if that's what George would want to do, considering Land was sort of his spiritual successor to his Day script. All the ideas he couldn't use in Day he carried over into Land.

I haven't bothered with a new GAR Dead flick since that Land of the Dead fiasco a few years back.
It's basically gone from "I'm going to do one of these every ten years or so" to "I'm going to milk this for all it's worth for as long as I can" on GAR's part.
It's interesting to see that even many of his die-hard fans have had enough...

I think I am done.I love George but none of his films have really been great since Day.Plus it's not his fault that everyone thinks they can make a zombie movie now.I thought Diary showed a little bit of the old George so I am happy with what's he's done and the few other zombie flicks that are good.

All the ideas he couldn't use in Day he carried over into Land. yeah, I guess I'd just like to see the whole under ground Bunker, and the battle above, in the same film. wishful thinking, but I'm not complaining. I know I'm in the minority here, but Day of the Dead, and Land of the Dead are my favorites. can't explain why I enjoy Land so much, but I just do derek

The bigger budget and production values certainly boost the movie. The scope of Land also felt much bigger I found compared to the other movies. Fiddlers Green felt like a really large city, and it was cool seeing them venture out into zombie infested cities.

I wish Romero kept working with big studios and big budget after Land, but unfortunately the film didn't do well in the box office so maybe that's why he had to go back to independent productions.

Honestly I wish Land would've done better and that the next movie would've been with Universal with a decent-sized budget....but not too big because I don't want to see too much more CGI or Vin Diesel(or the typical interchangeable big Hollywood douchebag "action" star) showing up.
I liked Land a lot(still doesn't compare with the previous three flicks) and wish we would've gotten a direct sequel to it.

I'm kinda done. Survival was good enough, but pretty anemic in parts. If he does anything I would like to see a finale, should that be an end to zeds or an end to humans. Whatever lights his candle.

Wasn't a Land of the Dead 2 planned to a certain extent?

It saddens me, but I'm afraid George just can't be trusted to make a good movie anymore. I enjoyed Survival, but Diary was unforgivable. It's time to cut our losses and stop before it gets any worse.
