gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/33968I've been keeping up on this, as I am a big fan of the Resident Evil games. Looks... decent. I'll need more proof before I consider it. The video above shows some gameplay recorded off-screen.

The most recent Resident Evil game I played was RE: Outbreak for the PS2. Seemed a step up from the old games but it didn't take long for the novelty to wear off. I don't know if I could ever get back into the franchise considering how badly acted most of the cutscenes and voice work are.

how badly acted most of the cutscenes and voice work are. That's a huge part of why I like the series haha. Like watching cheesy B-horror flicks...well with the first three anyway. Especially the first one. haha.

I agree, I love the epic cheese factor in RE1. I still love the series--even part 5 (which was a huge step down from RE4, my personal favorite).
I like that this game brings back the zombies and Raccoon City. Like I said though, I need to see more before I make any judgements.

Sorry I forgot to comment on the video before. It looks pretty cool as far as team based multiplayer games go. It'd be a nice change from the usual FPS multiplayer games I play. It's also pretty cool how when you die you come back as a zombie and it looks like you can attack your team-mates too instead of just waiting to be revived like in COD: Zombies.
Its safe to say I've become a bit of a snob when it comes to video games. After playing games like GTA IV, Mass Effect, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Bioshock I've just naturally come to expect a higher quality of acting in games; subsequently my tolerance for poorly acted cutscenes has diminished somewhat to the point where I struggle to enjoy such cutscenes ironically.
I did play Resident Evil 3: Nemesis on my laptop last night just to revisit the game and it was a very different experience to when i last played it. Dated graphics and wonky camera angles notwithstanding I just remember the opening cutscene in the warehouse being pretty intense and dark:
Jill is trying to convince some poor bastard(Dario) who witnessed his family killed to flee with her, but he's too shit scared so instead he just chooses to lock himself inside a storage container and starve to death. Instead its pretty comical watching Dario scream out: ------------ Dario: I'd rather starve to death in here, than get eaten by those undead monsters! Now leave me alone!
Dario: I told you, I'm not leaving! *NEVEEEERR*! Just get away from me! -------------
I had to stop playing after 40mins because I forgot how uncomfortable it is trying to play a game on a laptop.

Haha Dario. That guy cracked me up, especially when he was yelling and shit.

I own this and it's just....very mediocre. Dumb AI and even on the easiest difficulty the game is hard as shit. It's pretty fun when you're playing with three other people though. But seriously the AI is dumb as hell. They walk into trip mines and into fire. There can be a lot of shit going on at once, so much chaos. Like you'll be fending off against hordes of zombies while hunters or lickers are running around. Top it off with spec ops guys shooting at you. You also have to fight two Tyrants at once.

That's not particularly reassuring to hear. So is there a single player campaign or are you doing the same Multiplayer maps, but with AI bots for teammates? Shame we don't all have the same console. It'd be cool to all get on some multiplayer together.

Single player campaign but you can play it with three other people or the computer. There are also multiplayer versus modes that are kinda fun.
They released three new spec ops missions on Tuesday but I'm not paying $10 for them. I already paid $60(well $30 since I traded the atrocious WWE 12 toward it) for a mediocre game. Not paying any more for it.

I hear ya. What they're doing with DLC nowadays is getting ridiculous. With each new major release too they seem to be pushing the boundaries about what they can get away with as well.
