I saw this on a blog somewhere and I thought it might be fun here. The idea is to put any song you want for every question, and that would be part of your zombie movie soundtrack. I plan on filling it out soon, but what about you guys?
What is the opening theme for the movie?
What plays when you realize that a zombie apocalypse has started?
What plays when you realize that your family is missing?
What plays when you kill your first zombie?
When you’re getting chased by a hoard of zombies?
What plays when you find someone you know that is still safe?
What plays when you guys have to tag team a zombie?
What plays when you rob a grocery store for food?
What plays when you and your friend discover a group of survivors?
When you find out one of the survivors is infected?
When you make your final stand?
What plays when you discover your friend is dead?
When you think you’ve survived it all?
What plays when you find (temporary) safety with a group of survivors?
What plays over the credits?

Excellent thread Tony. I'll get back to you in a bit with my list. I thought it'd be easy but its suprisingly taking a lot of consideration to make a decent soundtrack and pick songs that'd fit the mood.

Crap, this will take some time. I typically prefer orchestral or atmospheric soundtracks, I think they contain much more emotion.
Stay tuned.

I tend to prefer movie/orchestral soundtracks as well. I think it took me about 2 hours to put mine together and I made it by just flipping through my ipod listening to snippets to see what suited each category. I'd be interested to hear yours and Tony's playlists. Nice pick Chris. Mother is a bitchin' tune.

Bela Lugosi's Dead. I figure an extended mix should cover your average 2 hour film.

Finally watched it on youtube. The sound quality wasn't the greatest and it messed with my expectations by not having any lyrics until the 1:50 mark and then messing with the tempo in the last 20/30secs by cutting between the song and those bizarre clips... yeah it's something alright FAKE EDIT: oh wow that was just the edited music video the original is over 9mins long and it doesn't get any less strange

It used to be darned good sex music when I was a younger man (read: had stamina). Really?! You must've had some strange taste in women for them to like that too during a session of bedroom gymnastics ;D I've always been partial to Barry White in the bedroom. His music has a nice funky sensual tempo to it. Very classy ;D
