Anyone think that in 20 years the highrise will be a place of homage for DEAD fans like Monroeville Mall?
I doubt it.

I seriously doubt it too. Nothing after DAY has really been "iconic" for the series.

So true. I think that Day was Iconic as a film but sadly its locations are not. The underground bunker is a storage business and Fort Myers is a town full of a bunch of rich white people. I doubt any of them even know parts of the film were shot there. Day was the end of "iconic" for the DEAD films.
People still flock to the cemetery from Night and the mall from Dawn, for good reason.

I actually almost made the drive out to the Monroeville Mall a few weeks back... it's about 4 hours from where I live.
Interestingly, I'd be passing right through Flyboy's territory if I did make the journey. I should pick you up man!

That would be f'n sweet. It's on my list as a stop for when I hit the lotto and just travel for shits-n-giggles. I'm sure fly would love the place. If he gets stopped by security just know that he was trying to peel up floor tiles.
From what I hear, they ask you to leave if you take pics. Lame.

Yeah it is lame. I don't understand that... it's obviously a place fans travel to to see... hell there's even a zombie museum of sorts in the mall. Photos are harmless.
When I do go, you can bet your ass I'm taking my Nikon.

Anyone think that in 20 years the highrise will be a place of homage for DEAD fans like Monroeville Mall? I doubt it. I'd be amazed if it did. There was nothing particularly memorable about the building itself, and I doubt there'd be anything in that building left over from the movie. Also you can imagine people would be running businesses in that building and would be less than happy about people wandering around it taking photos. It'd just be another skyscraper and most people can just head to their nearest city centre to see one. Now if they had Dead Reckoning up on display on a museum somewhere I'd pay to go see that
