First Reaction to the Ending

I know most of us saw this for the first time when we were a lot younger so it may be hard to remember your first reaction to Vince shooting Ben at the end of the movie.

I can't remember how old I was but I was probably at least 14-15 when I first saw NOTLD. I do remember just kinda being like "what the fuck?" and my jaw was on the ground. I had seen the remake before the original so I knew Ben died from his wounds and became a zombie in that one. I wasn't expecting Ben to survive the night only to get capped in the head....roll credits.

What was your reaction?

I first saw it when I was waaaay younger. Like 6 years old. I don't recall my exact reaction, but I do know I was terrified of that movie for many many years.

Similar boat for me, I don't remember my very first reaction seeing it as a wee lad, but I remember watching it when I was a bit older and thinking "You idiot. Scream! Signal them! Do something! Let them know you're not a zombie! Aargh! You fool!"

I know I was stunned. It was my first taste of the twist ending (to me, Planet of the Apes had been so spoiled for me at that point, I never saw it as a twist ending and P{sycho was still years away for me to watch since I'd only seen the first half and found the riveting tale of insaurance fraud to be...boring).
