A pretty good sequel to the original. It's not as good but I still enjoy it. I remember seeing it for the first time around 10 years ago on TNT's Monster Vision with Joe Bob Briggs. I thought it was an incredibly fun watch. It lacked gore but was still ok. The main kid was a bit annoying. I love that Thom Mathews & James Karen returned as similar characters to the original. Funny stuff. The Thriller zombie was hilarious. I didn't really care much for electricity killing the zombies though. That was kind of lame. A really good soundtrack too.

I liked the fact that James Karen and Thom Matthews were back as well, but didnt get into this one as much as the first.

After the first one they really move towards the comedy aspect. The first one was a comedy, but it had more classic zombie stuff in it.

I was confused by the return of the main 2 actors, as different people. It was unusual to say the least, but hardly entertaining in my opinion.

That is one of the big issues I have with it. It really tells the audience that this is not a serious sequence of films.

I prefer Mathews' & Karen's characters from the first movie over their characters in this one.
The DVD is kind of shitty because there are some soundtrack changes when you play it in English. The original score/soundtrack is intact when you change the audio to French. Lame!

This was an exiting film. Tarman was great. The electricution ending with the brains all over the ground was fun too.

I prefer the original Tarman to Part II's Tarman despite Allan Trautman portraying both. The first one was more animated, had a bigger part, eats some brains, & gets his head knocked off by a baseball bat. The second just gets pushed into a creek by an annoying kid. Haha.

I agree, Fly. The first Tarman really looked like something that came out of a military barrel. The second Tarman was eh, very small part and wasn't really a threat. Tarman 1 was very imposing and could chew some damn brains!

We'd never have the name "Tarman" if not for the legend known as "SPIDER."

Also Tarman in part 5 was pretty cool.

Although the first isn't some huge gorefest or anything, it's still a lot gorier than Part 2. ROTLD II is really tame compared to the first & could probably get a PG-13 rating if not for some of the language.
The Thriller zombie still cracks me up. What's funny is that he's played by Brian Peck aka Scuz from ROTLD. Peck also has a role in ROTLD 3. Can't remember though but it's not as big as his Scuz role from the first film.
I still enjoy ROTLD II. It's fun & doesn't take itself very seriously. That Billy kid is an asshole with bad slicked back hair.
