Welcome to Dead Community, cadaverina! For future reference, there are sub-boards for each film, and this topic would fit nicely into the Day of the Dead section. No worries though. I know in the documentary for DAY they specifically mention what kind of guts they are. They even go into a story how the power went out, and the fridge they kept them in went warm, spoiling all the innards, but they had to use them anyway. The scene you mention with Rhodes is where they had to use all the rotten guts, and the smell was abysmal. Joe Pilato even had to put wax up his nose just to be able to handle staying in the scene!

I have a pretty strong stomach for stuff like that, but it's still gross as hell.

Yeah, I remember them talking about the stench.
Kind of the same deal with Dawn, the actor that personally washed the innards because they were going to be smack dab on his chest. I would imagine that a hot shower feels good after that.

You know, I say this all the time to people thinking for some reason they'll know what it is. They never do.

I have no idea what it is... don't think I've ever heard it before.

I have no idea what it is... don't think I've ever heard it before. Oh my, oh my, oh my. You're gonna kick yourself when you realize what it is man. (hint: It's the last thing Rhodes screams while being torn apart!)

Ah, get it.
Didn't realize it was a reference to Day. Should have figured though.
