This is what happens when hollywood tries to cash in on Romero's idea.Not a terrible film but certainly the worst of the Romero zombie flicks.George snapped right back with Diary though,which I thought was fantastic.
Dawn of the Dead's gore effects and makeup were low budget but give the film a style and look that is very effective.It's the best Romero movie by far.

I disagree, for me Land was the best of the series. Dawn was good too but not the best.

I'm glad you found our little retreat on the net. Glad to see another Romero fan amongst us. And yeah, Dawn blows the rest of the Dead movies away. Even the damn amazing Night & Day. Land is good, Dawn is superior in every way.
