Box office numbers don't make a movie good. That's irrelevant. Transformers 2 made a lot of cash at the box office & loads of people are trashing that one.
He ruined it by making a completely shitty new storyline for Michael Myers's origin, making everyone white trash & unlikeable, loads of unnecessary profanity, & not to mention an incoherent story.
Resurrection makes Zombieween look like Citizen Kane.

Resurrection makes Zombieween look like Citizen Kane. You're in the minority. Look at the imdb ratings: Remake: 6.0 ( ok not great but for a horror film it's fine) Resurrection : 3.9

Who gives a fuck about IMDb? Even if I cared about what most of the trolls & idiots on that site had to say(especially about a piece of shit like Rob Zombie's Halloween), I still wouldn't try to use that as an argument.

I want to see this as a curiosity item, but won't waste my hard earned dollars on it. I'll netflix it when it's out and if it's something I think I will watch twice, I'll probably just rent it. No way I'm spending the $20 on a DVD. The first one is still going for too much $ on disc.

I am severely confused over this film. Rob Zombie's Halloween II is so nauseatingly bad that it may just well be.... incredible. I mean that. I need to rest for a little while and let it sink in. It's one of those weird, weird, WEIRD films. Not great filmmaking.... but it just might be accidentally brilliant.
Like Robocop 2 or Smokey and the Bandit III.

Haha I've been hearing bad things about this but I'm not surprised since Rob Zombie is a poor filmmaker. I have a way to see this & thankfully it will not cost me any money.

*****SPOILERS!*****So I finally mustered up the strength to watch this abomination & it was just as I predicted: terrible. A slasher movie trying too hard to be some deep, artful film & epic failing miserably at every turn. It's a slasher movie: no more, no less. A bad one at that. Again, it didn't even feel like a Halloween movie much like Zombie's previous film. It was a bad slasher that just used names established in the previous series...again much like Zombieween. Zombie could've easily made an original movie with the same storyline. Or he could've just quit making movies in general. The shit with Michael grunting was laughable but then again, this isn't Michael Myers we're talking about but some hulking imposter. Brad Dourif was good though. I just wish he would've had more screen time. He was easily the best thing about this. There were some really good visuals in it too but good visuals don't make a movie good. Loomis was rather pointless in this although I found him slightly amusing with his whole new "Hollywood Loomis" persona & the fact that he was a gigantic dickhead. But yeah, he wasn't needed in this because he didn't do anything aside from being an exploitive asshole that made people around him mad so they'd give us more F-bombs because the film certainly needed more of those. I was digging his mustache. He should've grew a thin beard around it & spray painted it black. White horse = Not deep in the least. And keep the goddamn camera still. Shaky cam is still stupid. If you want people to see what's going on, quit shaking the camera buddy boy. Where was the corpse fucker!? I heard his action being mentioned. Maybe we'll get to see this amazing idea in the director's cut DVD! In conclusion, Commando is a better movie. Zombie didn't take it a to a level out of the series or the genre. It didn't peak. The series peaked with the first film & despite liking the sequels, it was a downhill ride after the first. He just made another shitty movie that was trying to be something that it's not.

This is #7 at the box office. The Time Travelers Wife is beating it. Hell, G.I. Joe is at #8, and how long has that been out now? This has turd written all over it.

From Wikipedia:
Budget $15,000,000 Gross revenue $26,928,692
I Wouldn't call that an epic failure.

If it was a huge success, it should've made that much on opening weekend. It's grossed that in the three weeks or so it's been in theaters. Plus, it opened at number three. The Final Destination won that weekend, which was predicted. It even got beat out by a movie in its second week in theaters aka Inglourious Basterds. Sooo....it's an epic failure no matter what you want it to be. You are wrong.
