I have owned a few versions. The first one I bought was at Suncoast video, I cannot recall the name of the distributor. The next version I bought is the colorized/b&w edition. I have come to dislike the colorized version, it's too vibrant and does not mesh well, keep it b&w! I also have a few copies that came in DVD packs. The quality is very low, since they are mainly thrown into the set because of public domain. I'm currently on the search for the edition that contains the new footage, and the 40th anniversary edition.

I like the colourized version but I'd rather watch NOTLD in black & white.
The 30th Anniversay Edition? If so, don't shell out too much for it. It's pure crap. I only own it because I randomly found it at K-Mart for $5.
The 40th Anniversay Edition is a good one. It has some of the features that are on the Millenium Edition but not all of 'em.
I'll get scans up of the aforementioned DVDs sometime soon.

I just want to see the "added" scenes for the fun of it. I will have to google pics of it to save my dough. I think if I get the 40th, I will probably trade off my color duo, I don't watch the colorized enough to keep it.

The scenes that don't involve an older Hinzman in Cemetery Ghoul get-up & the terrible reverend guy aren't too bad. The reverend...wow he's terrible.
The 40th Anniversary Edition is better. The colourized DVD is ok to have but the 40th outshines it with its special features & whatnot.
I still highly recommend the Millenium Edition if you can find it for a decent price. It's not hard to get, at least that I know of.

The Millenium Edition is still the best version to me. I did not get a chance to check out the edition that Dimension released along with Diary of the Dead, because I did not feel it was worth the double dip.

I saw this at Best Buy over the weekend, I wasn't willing to pay $15 bucks for it. It was the cover seen above.

It's definitely not worth $15. I randomly saw it for $5 at a K-Mart so I decided to take the plunge....again.
They were also selling copies of the 2004 Divimax version of Dawn for $5. I almost wanted to buy them all but didn't. Haha.

Hell, I'd certainly pick up the Divimax of Dawn for 5 bones, that's a freaking steal! I need to shop at K-Mart, haven't been to one in ages.

They're hit or miss when it comes to their DVDs. Sometimes they'll have random Anchor Bay shit for like $5-$7 a pop. I remember picking up Silent Night, Deadly Night for $5 last year at a K-Mart. I already owned it in a double feature with the second SNDN but I picked it up anyway just for the hell of it. Too bad they weren't selling the double feature there for $5. That sucker is out of print & could get me about $30+ if I were to sell it. Probably more since it would be new copies.

The thing about Night of the Living Dead is that you need to make sure you get a nice studio edition of it. Stay away from the cheap $5 editions that are released by companies you never herd of, because those are all shit edition with horrible picture quality and some of them might even have scenes missing.
