In order to redeem myself for a "wild goose chase" thread (Roger's "bent barrel"), here's another new thread.
If Roger hadn't been bitten, would he have still gotten infected? When the female zed attacked him in the cab of the truck and Peter shot her, her blood splattered all over Roger's face and most definitely ended up in his mouth and eyes.

That's a good question & something I've wondered myself. If the Max Brooks rules were in effect, then I'd say he would've gotten infected. I don't think he would've gotten infected otherwise because I don't think George was really thinking about that as a way of getting infected. Would've been cool though & a nice little twist that would bite us out of nowhere.

if 28 days later is anything to go by, then yes he would have become one of them.
that scene in 28 days where a drop of blood drops from a bridge and lands in that guys eye is kick-ass!!! ;D

I don't think he would have. In any other zombie movie, yeah probably. Not in the Romero universe though.

I think it would have to be like any other virus- and depending upon the level of nastiness (scientific term). If Roger ingested it past open sores of some kind, then maybe.
