Any reason why GAR had that biker checking his blood pressure in the film? I can't help but, think it was just there for the sake of more gore. Or was he just that concerned about his health?

Probably just there for the sake of more gore. Tom or George probably had an idea of a blood pressure machine gag & decided to go with it despite how ridiculous it was.

George says how fun DAWN was to make, so it's probably just in there for shit's and giggles.

That probably explains the pies too. Haha. I think it was Marilyn Eastman that said something that pies should kill the zombies in Night of the Living Dead which made George bring the pie gag to Dawn. Although no zombies died via pies.

The blood pressure scene and pie scene are turn offs for me. They are the few quams I have with the film.

I don't really mind them. I just think the sombrero guy is a total idiot. The pie scene to me just shows how ignorant and carefree the biker gang is. They don't even give a shit that the world is falling down all around them. It's all one big party in their eyes.

The blood pressure scene and pie scene are turn offs for me. They are the few quams I have with the film. I felt the exact same way with the pie scene. It was dark for most of the movie and then they threw in that silly light hearted 3 stooges pie fight and it just felt really out of place for me. I'm sure it was fun for the cast and crew, but it didn't add anything to the movie. The blood pressure scene was quite ridiculous too but it made for a good gore gag I suppose.

Yeah he sure is. I want to say that the Blood Pressure scene is completely unrealistic in that no-one is that stupid, but the fact is you hear about stories like that all the time (minus the zombies of course). Just look up the Darwin Awards
