Suprised no one has made a thread on this masterpiece! one of the greatest zombie movies ever made and a true classic of gore, humor and Sci-fi horror from a HP Lovecraft book.

Definitely agree, loved the movie. The sequels are also good.

This is a fun movie all around. I really love the effects, characters, & humor that it has going for it. One of Jeffrey Combs' finest & goofiest(in a dark way) performances.
I dig both of the sequels. Hell, I dropped $32 on the special edition of Bride of Re-Animator. I consider Beyond Re-Animator one of the better horror flicks from this decade too despite people having a lot of bad to say about it.

The problem I had with this was the same problem I had with The Boondock Saints. I listened to some people rave about this movie and it gave me raised expecations, only to be left a little dissappointed by them. Look its a fun Cheesy B-grade Horror movie, Jeffrey Coombs is fun to watch and it has some interesting looking special FX for that time period; however, its by no means a master piece.

A Hollywood Video around here was going out of business so I bought the Millennium DVD of Re-Animator from them for $4. I didn't really need it or anything since the Anchor Bay release is better but it's always nice to grab the same edition that I bought in 2003 that introduced me to the movie for the first time.
