Atleast they finally got rid of the hack of all hacks.
Yeah, not too sure about the 3D thing. 3D is getting beat to death these days.

Great news. I'd love to see more films with Michael Myers. Pity Zombie won't return to direct. I Hope they find an equally good director. Yes Aja would be a good choice.

Color me interested after hearing Rob Zombie isn't involved with this.

It's being reported all over the net that Patrick Lussier (My Bloody Valentine 3D) is in the seat to direct.
It's not Robert Zombie so I should be happy. But I'm not. I thought the MBV remake was terrible, plus I think 3D (in most cases) is stupid.

MBV 3D wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. Just okay.
I'm over the 3D thing. It's been overused as of late.

MBV 3D was totally awesome. To you, yes. To me, no. Fleshy, I know what you're saying about the overuse of 3D these days. I hate how everyone is saying that 3D is the next big step in motion pictures, and that eventually most everything will be 3D. I shutter at that thought.

I think it's kinda cool, make you feel more involved in the film.

It was cool 60 years ago. Not now.

I liked the MBV remake & would love for Patrick Lussier to be on board to direct this. While I thought the MBV remake was good, it's not an amazing movie by any means. It was a fun, gory(with some bad CGI gore. Looking at you, Atkins.) movie that did it's job: entertained me. It doesn't have shit on the original MBV though since it's amongst the greatest slashers ever made.
Patrick Lussier > Rob Zombie

I pretty much agree with everything you said, Fly, I'm just less enthusiastic.

I've seen the MBV remake three times now & I like it more each time. It's a fun popcorn flick. It's nothing that I'll constantly praise or fellate or something like that though.
I'm enthusiastic about the new 3D Halloween because it's hopefully going to be Rob Zombie-free....unless the fucker changes his mind like he always does. If so, I hope that Akkad tells him to stay the fuck away after the epic failure known as H2 tanked.

Well, Fly, it's your fault that I set the bar so high. Afterall, your praise for MBV '81 caused me to watch, re-watch, re-re-watch and re-re-re-watch it. Love it. I love it so much that I have it on my iPod, but I don't even watch it. I just plug in the earphones and listen to it at work.

MBV '81 is a hard movie to top. It's hard to pick which is better: it or The Burning.
I still consider 1981 the best year for slasher movies.
