I'm glad that they chose Lussier to direct the film. MBV 3D was one of the best slashers ever made.

I don't think MBV 3D is one of the best slashers ever made by a long shot but I think it's one of the better remakes out there as well as one of the best horror films from this decade.

The thing I probably dislike most about 3D is that they purposely set up camera angles they'd normally NEVER do, just to have something come toward the screen. The movie becomes a vehicle to showcase 3D as opposed to a movie about something else... often times the story and plot play second fiddle to 3D camera angles and effects.

I do agree with that but the Halloween movies(as much as I love them) aren't exactly really heavy with plot or characters aside from the leads. More Halloween 3D news: Lussier Confirmed for Halloween 3Dwww.shocktillyoudrop.com/news/topnews.php?id=11882MBV 3D Writer Todd Farmer is also confirmedwww.ohmb.net/showthread.php?t=16457&page=36Scout getting a look at the H3D treatment on Monday, or people jumping to conclusions over Tweets? Last month Zombie and Scout were joking around about the filming of H2 and Zombie said: Seemingly referring to Tyler Mane as "homeless mouth". Today Scout sent Zombie a picture of a monkey and Tweets followed - twitter.com/RWZombietwitter.com/PoutyScoutySounds like they're poking fun at the new 3D movie. I don't think Rob Zombie is in any position to make fun of anyone else's movies when he's made four pieces of shit thus far. And Scout isn't too great of an actress herself although she's not really bad either. Oh well. This will be better than Rob Zombie's movies. Easily.

I think it would be kind of cool if they were going with Season of the Witch. I actually think that would make a better 3D film than a Michael Myers one would. Hell, hey could even make 3D masks instead of glasses for people to wear at the theater! It's almost too perfect!

That'd be pretty neat. I'd love to see that in theaters with a 3D skull, pumpkin, or witch mask on my head.

I know, totally! The more I think about it, the more I actually think it's a pretty awesome idea.

I think my eyes would explode after seeing something so awesome in 3D. My ears would explode too.
All of me would just explode.

I think season of the witch would be a good idea for 3d,i actually enjoyed the original after watching it again, they should have dropped the halloween 3 from the title though it would have worked better as a stand alone movie,i would have liked to have seen friday 13th part 3 in cinemas 2,still my fav friday movie, would have been cool 2 see it back then in 3d.

October release date?weblogs.variety.com/bfdealmemo/2009/09/I'd definitely like to watch this in October. I will more than likely see this one in theaters since Rob Zombie isn't involved. The last(and only) Halloween movie I saw in theaters was Resurrection. Not the greatest movie out there but it was a fun experience in theaters. Then I had to take a break because I didn't want to pay to see Rob Zombie's crappy "visions" on the big screen but found other means to see them for myself. I'm glad his reign of terror is over so I can resume watching the Halloween series in theaters. Looking forward to what Todd & Patrick have in store for us.

I wonder what that means as far as a release date though.

It probably won't be out until 2011 at the earliest, I'm thinking. It'll give us an extra year to wash out the bad taste from Rob Zombie's movies.
