Hilariously bad but bad in a good way. I really enjoyed it. I liked it a little better than Psycho Cop Returns mainly because a bunch of teens get maimed. I didn't care about any of the characters except for Officer Joe Vickers, of course. They were all the same person to me. Watch out for Zack the trickster & his rock hard abs. Joe's one-liners were delivered with that Bobby Ray Shafer charm. I laughed. I also laughed every time he did his "Ha ha ha ho ho ho" laugh. I like how every other sentence is a mention of the Kato Kaelin caretaker, who took an axe to the head early in the film. It lacked gore. I actually think the horribly edited version of Psycho Cop Returns had more gore in it. Still, this movie was gold in the form of a wheel of cheese. I loved Joe's Bennettesque(Bennett from Commando) "death" at the hands of Dougie, who must've been a javelin throwing champion to make a tree branch go through Joe's chest. Another part that makes me laugh is when Officer Joe runs this girl down with a car. The girl is looking for her hairbrush, I believe & Joe hits her with a car. It's so unconvincing. The girl looks like she just pushed herself off the hood of the car while standing. "Have a heart."

It's not surprising that I have his autograph either.

Actually I've been meaning to catch this movie ever since I read about many years ago in an issue or Fangoria. If it wasn't for fangoria I also never would've heard of Children Under the Stairs, Waxworks and Fright Night.
On a scale of 1-10 Flyboy how is the cheese factor on Pyscho Cop?

Super cheesy & bad in almost every way but it is entertaining as hell. Bobby Ray Shafer is pretty over-the-top as Officer Joe Vickers. He puts in a very enjoyable effort. His laugh kills me.

I had a brain fart for a moment there and thought "Maniac Cop" and "Pyscho Cop" were the same thing despite your signature staring right at me Sounds like the sort of thing that'd be enjoyable to watch with some mates and just pick it apart and laugh at it.
