sadly the finished product that we own is not the original version, a lot of the ideas never made it in for budgetary reasons, but they did make it into Land... anyway i have managed to find a copy of the original epic Dawn Of The Dead online and it is an epic!

I love the original Day of the Dead Script. That would've been an epic movie had it ever been made.
Never really read the whole original Dawn Script. I got started on it, but stopped about a quarter of the way through it as it didn't seem to differ much from what was put up on screen. Sounds like perhaps I should've kept reading

Yeah I've never read the whole original DAWN script either... what else is different (aside from the ending, which I already know)?

No I know about the differences in DAY, I was wondering about DAWN (I think deadtrick was as well).

I read the Day script a few summers back, a good read it was. I don't recall reading the Dawn script, if I did there must not have been anything of interest.

I heard the Dawn script, had alot more detail and it even had character backgrounds in it. As for how I feel about the original Day script: "To be honest other than the beginning I didn't like the original scirpt at all. Some things about the original day script had me rubbing my head in exasperated wonder....... Zombie fighting units. Cowboy Bub. Spider w/nitro vials surgically embedded into her skin making her a walking bomb. Gluttonous scenes of depravity. I always think about the Original Day script and it leaves me believing that GAR had no plans beyond the end of his nose." ;D

To each their own, and I do understand how the Cowboy Bub compared to the baby-like bub in the movie could annoy some people. Funny you should say that as I do recall a scene with a soldier wearing a dildo on his nose in the script

The Cowboy Bub idea was a big speedbump for me when I was reading the original Day script. It was something that I really couldn't get past, just too odd I suppose.
The rest of it was fantastic.

I must indeed read it again. I remember it being terrible. Then again maybe, my hatred of some of the stupid ideas are blinding me to the positives of the script. I remember the beginning 3-way battle between Sarah's group, a bunch of pirates, and zombies, and boy I have to admit that would have been spectacular! I think it took a nose dive after that though.
