Ive been thinking that George should make movies that take place inbetween the dead movies. Ive always wanted to see Peter and Steele or a Human Bub and Barbara on screen together sometime, just to see where the characters have gone since the events of the films.

I'm opposed generally to whenever a Director tries to shoe-horn in a relationship between characters across different films where it wasn't needed (Case in point the Star Wars Prequels). It just cheapens the franchise and ruins the things established in the other movies, as well as making the universe for that franchise seem so much smaller. That is what I love about each of the dead movies each time we see a different group of characters trying to survive at different times and in different areas and it makes the zombpocalypse seem so much more expansive.
You're main problem is that Day of the Dead is set in Florida whilst the rest of the Dead movies are supposed to be set in or around Pittsburgh. You could say that Peter came across Steele while in Philly doing zombie clean-ups, but the interaction would've been minimal at best, and add on to that Steele's rascist Tendencies and I doubt he would've had much to do with Peter or Peter wanting anything to do with him. Otherwise you're talking about completely re-writing Steele's character ruining everything that was established about him in Day.
As for Bub and Barbara well Barbara dies within the early stages of the zombpocalypse and she never met him at the cemetery or at the Farmhouse meaning she could've only met him before everything went to shit. In that instance I just don't see how you could make a zombie movie out of 2 people sitting around talking before any zombies have become re-animated yet.
Another issue with Peter and Steele is I doubt Steele would've been anywhere near Philly at the time Peter was there. Steele and the other soldiers are a rag tag mob who come off more like Weekend warriors rather then full time soldiers. They're undisciplined and they seem to lack proper training. Like Sarah says in Day their operation was organised in a matter of days (or was it weeks? I forget) meaning they wouldn't of had the time or resources to fly soldiers from half way across the country when they could've more easily just drawn from a pool of soldiers from local National Guard Depots. Everything about that operation smacks of local resources and haphazard organisation. But I digress if Romero felt so inclined to make an in inbetween Dead movie he should just stick to making a continuation of surviving characters story arcs like Peter and Fran's story, or Riley Denbo and the dead reckoning crew.
