Another great Lucio Fulci zombie flick. A priest hangs himself in a cemetery, thus opening the gates of hell(one of many alternate titles to the movie). It's up to a reporter who sounds like George Carlin, a psychic that was buried alive in the same cemetery that Matt Cordell was buried in in Maniac Cop 2, a psychiatrist, & his basketcase patient to save the day. Yep. This is the movie where a woman pukes up her guts & a guy gets a brutal power drill to the temple. Some great gore. A handful of people get the backs of their heads ripped out, exposing some of their brains. Zombies teleport & don't feast that much. Overall, a good movie. I like it about the same as Zombi 2.

I actually saw this one in the theater when it came out! Great movie but was titled "Gates of Hell" when I saw it.
I would say that along with Zombie, and The Beyond, Gates of Hell are Fulcis greatest

I had a VHS entitled "Gates of Hell." Same movie just different title. I think my VHS was cut as well.
I have the Blue Underground release, which is rather nice.

This was a good one. I personally like Zombi 2 and House by the Cemetary better, but this was a very suspensful and awesome film. I don't remember much about it which means it's time to watch it again.

I liked this a lot better than The House by the Cemetery, which I felt was good yet boring at parts.
I think I prefer Zombi 2 to this, however. I prefer The Beyond over pretty much every Fulci movie I've seen.

I liked the scene when the woman puked her insides out.

This is getting a new release. Comes out on Tuesday, May 25th!
EDIT:
It will be a special edition release by Blue Underground, +2 right there. The regulard DVD edition will have a featurette, while the Blu-Ray will have much more special features.
