After hearing about the possible remake of Creepshow i came up with a idea for an updated version of the tale "They're creeping up on you." Tell me what you think:
Title : They're Creeping up on ya.
Plot: Upson J. Pratt, a petty drug dealer who lives in the slums of Harlem,New York lives in an housing project infested with roaches. This dosent help him much as he has a strong phobia of roaches.
During a failed drug deal with a local voodoo priestess, she places a strange curse on him and she never reveals what it will do to him. That night he notices that roaches are starting to appear more and more in his appartment, clothes and food. Eventually it gets so overwhelming he suffers a massive heart attack and dies. The roaches inhabit his body and devour it to bones and mush.
Cast:
Upson Pratt - Tony Todd Voodoo Priestess - Angelica Bassett (Eartha Kitt was my orginal choice but she's dead now.)

They're remaking Creep show? Is nothing sacred
Not bad overall. I can really picture the grime and grittiness of Upson's apartment. I thought your choice for a Voodoo priestess was strange at first until I realised I was getting mixed up with Angelica Huston

Definitely an interesting take. Seems like the complete opposite yet the exact same.

They're remaking Creep show? Is nothing sacred Well King and Romero are set to return as writer and director, so it will be good if made by them.

Oh ok then that changes things. Just glad its not Eli Roth or some other New Age horror writer/director.
Does Romero still have the magic though? After his last movie (which I still haven't seen - shame on me) do people still have faith in him as a director?
