You put 8 below Jason X? It's not that bad! Jason X is a shitty movie but it has that 3 AM Sci-Fi Channel movie appeal to it that makes me enjoy. It's a crappy movie that knows it's a crappy movie. It's not very serious & is a fun movie. JTM is Jason on a boat for 80 minutes & in New York for 20. Most of the New York scenes were filmed in Vancouver. It has its moments & can be a fun movie but I enjoyed the shittiness of Jason X more. As for the remake, I think it could be ok. I don't like Jason's new look but I think the mask looks pretty good.

Jason takes manhattan is my favourite...it was the first one i watched when i was way to young and i remembered the little girl being pushed in the lake and jason swimming up to get her...i didnt go lake swimming for a while after i saw it haha
Thought Jason X was pretty entertaining what with the trigger happy android chick..Think it would have been better to have been made after freddy V Jason though.

Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter is my absolute favourite. It's been that way since I was a lad. Is that the one where freddy's glove comes out of the dust and drags his mask into hell?

Nah that's Jason Goes to Hell. There were six movies after the so-called Final Chapter. That always makes me chuckle.

The Final Chapter The New Beginning Jason Lives The New Blood JTM
All of them subtitles were attention getters it would be very hard to advertise the films and just calling them Pt. 4, Pt 5, and Pt 6 would getting tireding

That always makes me chuckle. Well, Jason Goes to Hell was originally subtitled The Final Friday, but New Line took that off of the DVD, for obvious reasons. However, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter really was the final chapter of a particular era, because it was the last scary Friday the 13th movie. It was the last one with a more human and believable fast running Jason. It was the last one in the series to be a horror film even to this day. Part 5 and the remake were pornos and the rest were comedies.

Cover art & specs for the upcoming releases of The New Blood & Jason Takes Manhattan: fridaythe13thfilms.com/blog/paramount-announces-part-7-and-8-dvd-release/I will be getting both since I have all of the other deluxe DVDs. I did some hardcore DVD trading the other day to get them. One of my trade-ins was the box set since I figured there was no use in owning the newer DVDs & the box set. Saves some space too. I kind of like The New Blood's cover despite the mask being all wrong. The JTM cover is meh. The covers for 4-6 are kind of shitty too but I do love the covers for 1-3. They put a modern spin on the older artwork & they look good. I liked the commentary on TFC with Joe Lynch & Adam Green. It was a fun listen & I'm actually glad that this was on the DVD despite me saying months ago that I didn't give a shit about fan commentary. I still need to listen to the other commentary sometime. The commentary on ANB was pretty worthless. Danny Steinmann was pretty funny here & there but didn't add much info. I did like hearing from John Shepherd & Shavar Ross but neither added a whole lot themselves. They sounded like they had a good time though. I wish we got to hear more about the Raymond(one fuckin' ugly man) character besides the fact that his son was a light heavyweight boxing champion & that Danny Steinmann said that he was the first choice for Tommy, which was a huge lie but still funny. The picture qualities on both are really great. TFC is a HUGE improvement over the previous releases. I'm about to watch Jason Lives with commentary here in a bit.
