I want to check this out. I don't mind it being all CGI since the games are obviously made with computers so that doesn't bother me.
I loved Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

It has potential provided they don't just aim it at 13 year olds. For once I'd like to see an animated movie geared towards adults like Fritz the cat, except not quite as drug fuelled and batshit insane. Chances of that happening are very low though as it just wouldn't be that profitable for the Producers of that movie.

I'm pretty sure that this is geared towards a mature audience.

I didn't mind the series of live-action movies so much. They weren't great by any means, but I'd still go out of my way to watch them again. I'll definitely be giving this new one a look-see when it's released.

That's pretty much how I feel about the live action movies. They're pretty bad but I enjoy watching them. I own all three of 'em.

I never saw the third one. I enjoyed the first (to a degree), but the second one did absolutely nothing for me. The trailer to the third one when it cam out really turned me off.

I concur I just couldn't get into the 2nd one. I liked it when it was just a group of survivors trying to escape from a horde of zombies and some genetic monstrosities, but then they had to throw in Alice with her super powers. Ruined the whole franchise for me.

Finally watched this yesterday. It's okay. I think it's mostly for the fans of the video games (which I'm not since I totally suck at games). I enjoyed it to a degree mostly because I have read some of the books. It's kind of long and my mind wandered at points, plus I was doing homework while I watched it. I'm sure you gamers will enjoy it. The CG is pretty cool, atleast it's not pretending to be something it's not.

I am a huge fan of the games so I'd probably really like it.
What characters are in it, Flesh Eater? I know I could look it up, but I'm one lazy SOB right now.

Claire and Leon are the only ones that I recognized.

I'm probably going to wait until I can find a cheap used copy to pick this up. I wouldn't feel right paying $20 for this. Maybe $10 at most for a new copy. I'll just look around for a used copy somewhere.

I saw this and I must say it was extremely boring. Way to long and a lame plot, with videogame graphics.

Well... that's the whole point of the movie. It's made to look like the game.
