Oy, gone a couple days and this place picked up!

Tony, congrats on being so close to grad-jee-ation!
Rum drinks...mmmmmm...
Jumping in to catch up: my favorite TV show was "The Shield", but now that it's over I can't wait until "Rescue Me" starts up again on FX. Aside from those two the only thing I seem to go out of my way to watch on TV is Michigan football and Red Wings hockey, and the odd program on the Hitler Channel or Discovery.

Ahahahha...
No worries, 223. I cheer on the Wolverines when they play anyone BUT Ohio St. I relished their win against Florida last year in the Capital One Bowl. We Ohio St. folks root for the Big 10 when they are playing any out of conference team. I think Rich Rodriguez was a bad choice, but that's just my .02.

No worries there, FE- I do the same for that team down south, too! Here's to hoping OSU can learn how to win a big game against a non-conference team, and knock the crap out of Texas!

Yeah... it's going to be interesting. Hopefully with Pryor at QB and Beanie Wells healthy, they can keep Texas in place. The one thing that makes me hopefull is the Big 12's record of points allowed, highest in the country.

Yep, and I think Texas is waaay overrated this year. Sure, they're good, but in contention for a national championship? Their fans are still boo-hooing Oklahoma's bid, and I love every minute of it. I look for Laurenitis to have four sacks.

I'm from Ohio but I don't cheer the Buckeyes. Then again, I don't really cheer any sports teams these days. I still cheer the Red Wings though since I've been a fan of them since I was in grade school. I just don't watch too many hockey games these days. I really need to remedy that.

Yes sir, you do! I don't know if you (or any other hockey fans we have here) caught it, but this year's "Winter Classic" yesterday (between Chicago and Detroit, played at Wrigley Field) was a great game.

My favourite NHL player of all-time was a Red Wing: Steve Yzerman. Yep. Stevie Y.

I'm not really a hockey fan, but I did watch some of this game. I think I enjoyed it mostly for the novelty. It seems more organic to play a game like hockey outdoors.

Yeah, it does in a way, but mostly (for me, at least) because that's where I played in most of my own games. Take down the boards, I say! Make it all open-ice hitting. That would surely be "novel", wouldn't it?

I do enjoy the "smash and grab" aspect of the game.
