Well, boys...if you were a blow-job artist, you'd know it. Lawls.

I don't consider myself one.
Just because I enjoy most of his films doesn't mean that I'm blowing him.

I literally read it in one sitting. I was mesmerized...glued to my monitor. It was superb. And then I compared it to the chunk of shit he gave us instead, and I honestly hopes he kills himself for it. To be honest other than the beginning I didn't like the original scirpt at all. Some things about the original day script had me rubbing my head in exasperated wonder....... Zombie fighting units. Cowboy Bub. Spider w/nitro vials surgically embedded into her skin making her a walking bomb. Gluttonous scenes of depravity. I always think about the Original Day script and it leaves me believing that GAR had no plans beyond the end of his nose. Although, I'll be willing to bet that if the original script had been what we got way back then, all these people that bitch about revved-up zombies would be instead be hailing them as greatness. A zombie quick-draw artist is about a stupid-as-hell idea, but if Romero had been the guy to do it, it would somehow "be a great idea". I love the Day we have now so all you Day haters can bite me! ;D

Interesting. I never really imagined Bub as a super-fast quick draw artist, although that's probably how it was presented in the script. I always thought of him as just a crack shot. True dat. It's amazing to me how the fanboys praise the GAR innovations of zombies that actually get smarter over time (even though they're slowly rotting away over a period of years), people still using money after the zombie apocalypse, and everything else...and yet the idea of running zombies is a sacrelidge. If GAR had done the whole running zombie thing, they'd be cheering him on. If GAR had remade Dawn with running zombies himself...if his version of the Dawn remake had been the same as what we got from Snyder--shot for shot, then they'd be saying "the man is back and he's better than ever!" Instead, they spent their time blowing him for Land, which wasn't even mediocre. Hell, I was bored to death the first and only time I tried reading the script for Land. I actually gave up on it when they were going through the tunnel back to Pittsburgh. At the theater, I did something I NEVER do at the movies--I got up and went to take a piss about 3/4s of the way through it...and I didn't even bother asking what happened while I was away. I just didn't care. But, to each his own.

Having an autograph of Rickles would be pretty rad since they'd be hard to come by since Ralph Marrero is no longer with us.

The machete scene makes me cringe. Great pic of "eaten" Rhodes. That bastard got what was coming to him.

SFX were so much more fun when they were mechanical...physical...rather than CGI.
The ultimate irony of modern films is that CGI was meant to augment the stories, to help us realize them more dazzlingly and better than ever before--but what it really did is replace the story. Now, CGI heavy movies are all about style over substance...and most honestly seem to me like just super-long, drawn out chase sequences with little or no character/plot development.
