I used to say the same shit about Day, until the advent of DVD. Now, in the clarity of digital video, it's all too obvious just how fake alot of that shit is. Especially with the face make-ups--you can see just where those prosthetics end. The moral of this story is--keep ahold of your down and dirty VHS tapes! ;D Lori Cardille was so cute back then, btw. Oh, and it's "Pvt Johnson", not JohnSTONE. ;D

Lori Cardille was doable thats for sure. Im one of the few people who love this movie, and didnt care for the gore and would have liked less to be honest. To me the creepiness of being locked together underground with unstable leaders was pretty chilling.

It is rather terrifying. It's probably the scarriest thing of the whole film. I would certainly be kissing some ass to stay alive.

I felt the same way until I went into the USMC.
In reality, if Rhodes had been acting like that, his own men would've fragged him. You can count on that.
I remember one CO we had--what a blow-job artist. We had a meeting one time and decided that, should we ever have to go into combat (we were Infantrymen), that he'd be the first mother-fucker we'd kill! ;D

You can tell how insecure Rhodes was. Otherwise he would rule with thought and strategy. It is better to have everyone on your side than against you. Think of Hitler. If he would have pissed every German off, he would have never gotten so much power. He had a plan and was calculating and smart about it.

I get the feeling as everything was going to shit they just grabbed the nearest weekend warriors to babysit the scientists they could find. You would need the real shooters either protecting the elite or killing zombies. Plus while Rhodes was a total dick he really wasn't wrong about much. No point in taming zombies, when you can just shoot the fuckers for instance. He knew Frankenstien was a fuckup, and no real breakthroughs were ever going to come from the scientists. If I was him I would have wacked Frankenstien and most of the scientists and just kept Sarah the helicopter pilots and lightened the load with Sarahs boyfriend as well. Then I would have would have went zombie hunting by cleaning out the cave totally and eventually all the surrounding area. ;D

It pisses me off when the zombies line up around the fence. Why the hell wouldn't they just unload on them, that's easy pickins in my book. Let them come to you, then wipe them out. Instead it's "lets get inside, they can see us" no shit sherlock. Walk up the the fence with a .45, put it to the damn things head and pull the trigger. It's that easy.

If you hear Rhodes during their meeting in the film he said their running low on ammunition.

Besides, even if they kept on killing the zombies, it wouldn't have made a dent in the overall population of them. They were in the midst of an operation anyway.

They were in the midst of an operation anyway. Huh? I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to Day, I haven't really disected it.

I've always found it laughable that they wanted to split in the first place.
They had a well fortified, well stocked, underground bunker complete with running water and electricity.
I would've whacked the ghouls in the corral, and just sat the rest out.

Wouldn't the zombies eventually start eating each other, if enough time had passed without "food"? I wish GAR would have addressed this.

Wouldn't the zombies eventually start eating each other, if enough time had passed without "food"? I wish GAR would have addressed this. He did. In Dawn, the one-eyed scientist said something to the tune of: "These creatures cannot be considered cannibals. 'Cannibalism', in the true sense of the word, implies an inter-species activity. These creatures cannot be considered human. They prey on humans...but they do not prey on each other. That's the difference. They attack, and eat...only warm flesh."

Ah, yes. That slipped my mind. Damn, other than a bullet to the head, they can essentially live forever.
