Zombies. Punk rock. Comedy. Horror. A naked Linnea Quigley. What more could we ask for? This is one of the best zombie movies ever made. It's practically flawless to me. It's hilarious. It's a bit scary at times(movies don't scare me much anymore). It has decent gore. An amazing soundtrack, quite possibly one of the best I've ever heard. Love Under Will by The Jet Black Berries being my obvious favourite track. This is a movie where running zombies worked. We'd be totally screwed if a zombie apocalypse came featuring these types of zombies.

The sloppy barrel zombie scared the crap out of me. UGH. Just creepy! I've yet to see any of the sequels, but this original one rocked pretty hard.

Ahhhhh!!! Tar Man!
The special features are pretty cool on the DVD. Shows some art work and interviews with a rather unlikely director.

Haha Dan O'Bannon was a very unlikely director for this but did one hell of a job. He created a cult classic loved by many.
I've talked with Jewel Shepard(Casey) on Myspace & Facebook a few times. She is such a nice lady. Very sweet & hilarious!

Oh he's a badass in my book. Who else could pull off the Oxford look and direct a kick ass zombie flick at the same time?

I loved this one, but absolutely hated the sequels. The first one turned the whole zombie genre on its head, injected some very funny comedy bits, and stopped trying to tell me how fucked up the world is every five seconds. The sequels just didnt do the same thing for me at all.

Simply, an amazing film. The skeleton rolling eyes, while tearing out of the ground made me laugh so hard. I also like the zombie Butterflies, they are made of win. The end was sort of anti-climatic but its okay.

I've always maintained that this is the best zombie flick of all time. It's got it all--a hot soundtrack, great SFX, characters you can just fall into like an old pair of shoes, laughs and screams in all the right places... In terms of screenwriting and directing, it's got GAR beat in every way.

My favourite song on the ROTLD soundtrack is Love Under Will by The Jet Black Berries. I talk to their bassist/guitarist/song writer, Gary Trainer, often via Myspace & email. He's has sent me four autographed New Math/Jet Black Berries records through the mail & is one hell of a nice guy. He's supposed to send me a mint ROTLD poster from the movie's initial release one of these days. I can't wait to get it.

After looking closer at this scene, I can now see the poor production quality of the fake head. Its just as bad as the freezer zombies body.
