I'd love to see the workprint of ROTLD but would rather have the file on my computer than see it on Youtube. I want to seek this out. I'm also trying to find an old VHS of ROTLD. Would be cool to have.

I won the soundtrack to ROTLD on cassette last night for $4.25! That's with shipping included too! The tape itself was only $2. Now I need to get it on vinyl.

In addition to grabbing copies of Necropolis & Rave to the Grave, I also picked up the 2002 MGM DVD of this yesterday. I figured "what the hell" & got it since I love this movie so much!

Good find Flyboy. You're one of the few people I know who still uses cassettes and VHS. I've pretty much gotten rid of all my old Cassette and VHS media. They still have a certain nostalgic value to them, but I prefer media I can also use on my computer.

I like CDs better than cassettes but I'm a huge fan of vinyl. I prefer its sound to both of those.
I love kicking it old school!

obviously i love this film, and it's one of my all time favs and never gets old!
the soundtrack is great, i even got into the band SSQ from this, they only had one album called Playback in 1983 aswell as performing "Tonight" and "Trash's Theme" for this and they are a great synthpop group worth checking out further,
I also love the characters in this too, especially Trash!
10/10 easy!

I wouldn't mind if the right person remade it but like most movies, this doesn't need remade. Hollywood needs to get more original ideas instead of remaking classics because very rarely do remakes live up to the originals...or are even good for that matter. There's a handful I do like, however.
But yeah, huge NO to a ROTLD remake. More original ideas, Hollywood.

i watched this with friends who had never seen it last night, i was drunk and i think i blacked most of it out as it seemed like it was on for like 30 minutes before the credits..strange that, the only scenes i really remember watching are the start, trashs dance (of course! lol) and suicides death, pretty much from their i blacked it out until Freddy was chasing Tina around when he turned into a zombie haha

I'd love to see more original stuff from Hollywood too, but nowadays with all this fear of movie piracy most studios just aren't wiling to take the risk on something new (unless you're Christopher Nolan). They want a guarantee it'll rake in the big bucks and brand recognition(remakes and adaptions) is a pretty surefire way to pull that off.

The original ROTLD is perhaps the best zombie flick ever made. It beats out the original Dawn by only a slim margin--it's truly a photo finish. But, ROTLD inches Dawn out.
It's got a rookie director at the helm, but his screenwriting is so superb it makes up it.

For some reason I was thinking Dan O'Bannon had already directed a few movies by that stage, but apart from ROTLD he's only directed one other movie. I never would've guessed it was his first directing job.
