My very first VHS tape was the original NOTLD--the Hal Roach monstrosity from the early 80s. I quickly learned to just turn the color all the way down on my TV and watch it in b&w.

I have not seen that version. The new color version is supposedly remastered?

I have not seen that version. The new color version is supposedly remastered? Yes, it is; and its excellent. Almost like the film was intended to be in color originally.

It does look good. Which is why I assume that it must have been a pain in the arse to transfer everything over.

All of the color is very sharp and clear. I love seeing the opening title in color.

I enjoyed the colorization that Fox Studios did for the film. The good thing about that particular release is that if you do not care for it, they still offer a remastered black and white copy of the film on the same disc, but the colorized version is a good one.

[glow=red,2,300]Exactly, and it even contains cool colorized trailers.[/glow]

I liked the fact that they colorized this film. My sister liked it the way it was in B & W. I think it's better in color. Kinda sets you up for "Dawn of the Dead" eh? :-)

The version I have is from Off Color Films, is this the same one that has been mentioned that's been distributed by Fox? It has both the black & white & colorized version. I'm kinda taking to the colorized version. I thought it was well done, & is cool to see it in color.

Look at the dvd, copyright; somewhere in small print it says Legend Films.[/glow]

If the zombies were blue it would have been setting you up for Dawn of the Dead.
