I'm going to Wilmington (where most of the pricipal photography was shot) in March. I've been wanting to go there for years now. It's a beautiful place from everything I have gathered on the internet and catalogs.

When I was in Chicago earlier this year, I was in the business services center on one of the mornings and this little kid, six or seven, approached me and started talking to me. Seems he was the son of Romero's agent who was attending this con. The kid just exploded into a rant on the DEAD films and how much he loved them. Then he told me how much the documentary on the new disc sucked. And I was laughing because.... this little kid... a documentary critic? Gave me a chuckle. Thats one smart kid then. Sorry but, like I said It's supposed to be a documentary about Night of the Living Dead, not The Latent Image. There is far too much back story about the events leading up to the film, but very little about the actual production. Ella Mae Smith? Great! but would it have killed them to tell us which ghoul she played? Also Marilyn Eastman ? The make-up question..again! Could they have not asked something better. George Kosana! Come on! Why do ever interviews with him have to be short? They could have gave the time to some of his stories. Sloppy!

Night of the Living Dead is a black and white film. The Fox Studios colorized version is pretty good, but this film is a black and shite film. I really can not watch it any other way.

I am the exact opposite; I cannot stand the film in black/white. I only like a few films in black/white and Night isnt one of them.

That's from the colourized version that came out in 2004. It looks very good but I still like to watch NOTLD the way it was originally made: black & white. Colour kind of takes the creepy vibe away from it. It's also weird seeing it in colour after first seeing it in black & white many years ago.

It is very weird looking with all that colour,i originally saw it in colour but not that bright lol kinnda looked like it was done by crayons the one i saw lol it is a lot better in b/w,deffo gives off a creepier vibe,i always thought johnny's car was yellow instead of bright red.

Color breathed new life into the film, in my opinion.
